I'm not your typical Polyvore member I guess. I'm in my 40s (eek!) but can have adolescent like moments. I don't necessarily create my sets for faves, I would like the faves believe me, and I'm over joyed every time one of my sets gets over 30 faves. But I create sets for the aesthetic/artistic view of it. I consider all sets to be a collage of sorts and I try to leave as little white space as possible. I have an adorable daughter who is the light of my life (now a teenager and on polyvore also), and I rant and rave about often.
I've come back after a long stint and not much is different. The only way to get faves seems to be by giving them and that's kinda lame imho. I personally only give faves to sets I actually like. I just spent several hours on one set and no faves. I don't really care about the faves as I have stated before but when I have worked on something for hours and nothing.....gah
